Our Philosophy
At Brambletye, our Nursery is a nurturing space where children start their educational journey. We focus on fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence, helping each child explore and grow at their own pace. With an emphasis on emotional, social, and physical development, we lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. We also value our partnership with parents and encourage regular visits and events to strengthen our community.
Supporting Every Step of Their Journey
Following the EYFS framework, we provide a balanced approach to help children develop essential skills. By focusing on personal well-being, communication, and physical growth, we build strong foundations for future learning. Our child-centred approach fosters confidence, independence, and curiosity, preparing children for the more formal aspects of education in Reception.
Our Space
Our purpose-built classrooms are designed to inspire curiosity and exploration, with cosy reading corners and evolving role-play areas. Each classroom opens to a large outdoor area for year-round outdoor learning, where children can jump, run, and play while observing wildlife and experiencing the wonders of each season’s nature, build fairy gardens, and more. Integrated within the Pre-Prep, the Nursery promotes a sense of community as children interact with older pupils and participate in school-wide events.
A Typical Day: Imagine, Discover, Thrive
Each day blends structured activities with free play. The children enjoy lessons in French, music, and swimming, and participate in storytelling, art, and sensory play. They also explore the world through festivals and global events. Outdoor learning is a key focus, with regular visits to the ‘School in the Woods’, where children engage in hands-on activities like building dens and discovering wildlife.
Our Nursery Family
Our dedicated Nursery team is passionate about nurturing each child’s growth. We work closely with parents, offering an ‘Open Door’ approach to foster strong relationships and support every child’s learning journey. These early years are vital in a child’s education, and we are proud to be part of their development at Brambletye.
